Job Description
Read Easy Southampton & Isle of Wight are seeking a passionate & experienced fundraiser!
What will you be doing?
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Grants Fundraiser to help us secure the necessary funds to support our programs and initiatives. We need to maintain an income of at least £7500 per annum. The Grant Fundraiser will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding from private foundations, government agencies, and other potential sources. This is a voluntary role, with flexibility to determine working times but will average 2 - 3 hours per week.
What you will do
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities from private foundations, government agencies, and other funding sources
- Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals and reports
- Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and ensure timely submission of all required materials
- Develop and maintain relationships with grant funders and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with the extended RESIOW team to gather information and data needed for grant proposals
- Track and report on the progress of submitted grants and ensure compliance with all grant requirements
- Stay up-to-date with charity sector trends and best practices in grant writing and fundraising

- You will have an induction with guidance specifically to enable you to undertake the role with confidence.
- You will have access to support from the Treasurer and the Team Leader. As a member of the extended management team for RESIOW, there will be regular opportunities to meet other members of the team.

Experience and skills required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful grant writing and a deep understanding of the funding landscape
