Job Description
- Day to day management of the charity's finance leading a team of local treasurers
- Deputising for the National Treasurer when needed
What will you be doing?
National Coastwatch Institution is seeking a volunteer Head of Finance is to ensure that proper financial records and procedures are maintained, monitor the accounts and oversee Group Treasurers. The Head of Finance is accountable to the NCI National Treasurer and will deputise for the National Treasurer as required. The role is undertaken through remote working although face to face meetings in a variety of locations will be needed from time to time. Hours would be by agreement with the successful volunteer but an estimate in the region of 10 - 15 hours per week is thought to be needed to undertake the range of duties.
What are we looking for?
- Financial qualification and experience- AAT and above
- Some experience of charity finance
- Knowledge of Gift Aid and section 33 VAT processes
- A working knowledge of Xero and, ideally, Paxton Accounting system
