Job Description

The HR Volunteer at True Honour Charity will support recruitment, onboarding, DBS checks, contracts, payroll, and staff wellbeing. They will ensure compliance with policies, offering HR support and impacting survivors of abuse.

What will you be doing?

The HR Volunteer at True Honour Charity will support the team by assisting with HR tasks like recruitment, onboarding, compliance, payroll, and staff wellbeing. This role offers an opportunity to apply HR skills while helping survivors of honour-based abuse, forced marriage, and domestic violence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Advertise vacancies, screen applications, and conduct interviews.
  • Conduct DBS checks and guide new hires through onboarding and safeguarding training.

2. HR Administration & Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate HR records for staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and safeguarding regulations.
  • Update HR policies and ensure staff complete mandatory training.

3. Payroll & Benefits:

  • Assist with payroll, leave records, and volunteer reimbursements.
  • Support pension scheme administration and ensure staff eligibility.

4. Contracts and Support:

  • Assist with employment contracts and volunteer agreements.
  • Support staff with HR-related queries and wellbeing activities.

5. Wellbeing & Development:

  • Help organise wellbeing activities and coordinate professional development opportunities like safeguarding training.
