Neurodiversity in Business (NiB) is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Board of Trustees. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing organisation that champions neurodivergent talent in the workplace.

What will you be doing?

About Us

NiB's mission is to raise awareness and acceptance of neurodivergent people in the workplace. We support employers in creating inclusive environments, sharing best practices on recruitment, retention, and empowerment, and advocating for improved employment conditions for neurodivergent individuals.

The Trustee Role

As a Trustee, you will play a crucial role in shaping NiB's strategic direction, ensuring sound governance, and supporting the organisation's continued growth and impact. Trustees provide oversight and guidance on key areas such as governance, finance, legal compliance, risk management, and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

As a Trustee, you will:

  • Ensure NiB is operating in alignment with its mission and values
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight
  • Support the organisation's financial sustainability and governance
  • Participate in Board discussions and decision-making
  • Act as an ambassador for NiB, advocating for our work and mission
  • Safeguard the charity's reputation and legal compliance

Commitment

  • Attend monthly remote Trustee meetings (approx. 10 per year) and the Annual General Meeting (AGM)
  • Dedicate time to reviewing Board papers and contributing to discussions
  • Provide advice and guidance in your area of expertise when needed

What are we looking for?

We are particularly interested in applicants with experience in:

  • Marketing and Communications (e.g., social media, branding, public relations, digital strategy)
  • Fundraising and Business Development (e.g., grant applications, corporate partnerships, donor engagement)
  • Lived Experience of Neurodiversity (e.g., personal or professional insights into neurodivergent inclusion in the workplace)
