Social Media Volunteer

Plateful Cafe is looking for an enthusiastic Social Media and Marketing Volunteer who can help us expand our online presence and continue to spread awareness about the important work we are doing to support refugees into the world of employment.

Duties:

• Managing our social media accounts and channels: posting relevant content, engaging with likeminded accounts, and growing our following.
• Working on specific projects with the rest of the Marketing Team.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills and fluent in English
• Prior experience in marketing/social media
• Able to create interesting and engaging content
• Good time management skills
• Engaging and friendly
• Good team player
• Some previous experience setting up or managing a charity/organisation/company social media account

Desirable:

• An interest in supporting refugees and contributing to the work of Plateful Cafe
• Experience of working with refugees, people seeking asylum or other vulnerable groups
• Lives in London with the ability to occasionally meet and visit us for events

Your work will help us gather more volunteers and contacts by spreading awareness about the important work we are doing to support refugees into the world of employment. With your help, Plateful Cafe will be able to grow and cultivate a thriving community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about creating a safe space for those living under forced migration.
