  • Preparing straightforward financial reports so the board understands how we're doing.
  • Helping with budgeting and financial planning.
  • Ensuring we meet any legal financial requirements as a charity.

Like all our trustees, you'll also:

- Support the charity's mission and values.- Help make key decisions at board meetings.- Advocate for our work and represent TCN when needed.- Be a supportive team member and bring your own skills to the table.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in bookkeeping, finance, or accountancy (formal qualifications are great but not essential).
  • Is comfortable using spreadsheets, financial software and banking software.
  • Can explain financial matters in a simple, clear way to non-financial people.
  • Is happy to take on a mix of hands-on financial tasks and bigger-picture financial planning.
  • Cares about sustainability and wants to make a positive impact in the community.
  • Can commit some time each month to the role (flexible and mostly remote).

Ideally you would live locally or within 50 miles of Chipping Norton - whilst most of the work will be online we would welcome seeing you at in person trustee and occasional community events

You will have the support of our volunteers and trustees, all of whom are passionate about sustainability, lots of community and business experience, and a drive to make a difference! If you're interested or just want to have a chat about the role, get in touch.
