Job Description
Play a vital role in Supporting Healthcare Heroes UK by coordinating our volunteer activities and enabling us to better support healthcare workers with Long Covid.
What will you be doing?
Our Volunteer Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the mission and activities of Supporting Healthcare Heroes UK, a charity dedicated to standing shoulder to shoulder with healthcare workers with Long Covid in the UK. If you take up this position you will work with the Chair to ensure our volunteers' experiences are positive and engaging.
Being our Volunteer Coordinator is a rewarding role which will allow you to contribute to the work we are doing as a charity to right the wrongs done to the healthcare workers who by caring for us when we needed them to, ofteen without appropriate PPE, now face an uncertain future.
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience in volunteer management, community engagement or related fields.
- Proficiency in using computer software and online tools for communication, record keeping and scheduling.
- A commitment to SHH-UK's mission and vision.
- Willingness to meet the minimum time requirement.
- A team player: Enjoy working as part of a team.
- Communication Skills: Effectively collaborate with team members and convey information about service user engagement clearly.
