Volunteer Reading Coach Littlehampton

Read Easy

Job Description

Help Change Lives

Reading is a basic requirement of everyday life, and for many of us it is a skill we take for granted. But did you know that nearly 1 in 14 people have difficulty reading?

Read Easy is a charity which provides free, confidential, one-to-one reading coaches for adults who would like to improve their reading skills at their own pace and without pressure. Reading sessions are taught by fully trained volunteer reading coaches to work with readers in their own community.

Read Easy Chichester & Arun is our local friendly group, based in Chichester, Bognor Regis and Littlehampton.

Due to an increase of applications from readers we are seeking volunteer reading coaches.

Once trained, our reading coaches are matched with an adult who wants to improve their reading, and will then help them work through the Read Easy phonics-based reading programme. Coaching takes place in public places, Volunteer Reading Coaches are supported by a Coordinator and a Literacy Specialist.
