Host a Tea Party for Older People

Do you enjoy hosting or baking. and connecting with your local community?
Re-Engage are looking for some volunteer hosts to help with our Ayr tea party for Older People. The group meet once a month to blether and connect in a mission against social isolation and loneliness. A cup of tea and a conversation could be the lifeline someone is searching for.
You would host once or twice a year right from the comfort of your own home and all you need is a space to put out some chairs out, a bathroom on the same floor and less than 3 steps to your chosen space (this can be via the front/back/side doors). Guests are driven to and from your home and the tea party lasts about 2/3 hours on your hosting day. Of course you are welcome to attend the other monthly gatherings but your responsibilities as host is only once or twice a year.
This is low commitment but huge impact volunteering that you can do right from your own home and help make your Ayr community just a little bit more connected.
