Who we are
Autistic Nottingham is the country's first entirely Autistic Led autism charity, with a full Executive & Trustee Board of diagnosed Autistic adults. Working with Autistic adults without intellectual disabilities (previously Asperger's or High Functioning Autism) to breakdown the misconceptions and provide appropriate support to those often missed.
The role
We are seeking an Autistic Chair of Trustees (diagnosed or self-diagnosed) with experience serving on boards to provide leadership and governance to Autistic Nottingham. This is a temporary role with the potential to become permanent. The Chair will lead board meetings, guide strategic decision-making, and ensure effective governance while working closely with the CEO to support the charity's mission. They will oversee compliance with legal and financial regulations, represent the organisation externally, and support trustee recruitment and development. Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills are essential. This is an opportunity to shape the future of Autistic Nottingham and make a meaningful impact on the lives of Autistic adults.
