I don’t know about you, but as I have aged I notice that the skin around my eyes has darkened slightly. This has meant that I have tried lots and lots of dark circle concealer over the past couple of years. Sad to report, very few have impressed – well, in truth, none of them have proved to be ‘the one’. I have found some tricky to apply – often the consistency was too firm for the delicate skin around my eyes. Others looked and felt oily on my ‘normal’ complexion. Most collapsed into the creases of my wrinkles once warmed by my skin. None of them had staying power. A pretty dispiriting story all round. BUT WAIT! I finally have good news. Very good news.
I found Maybelline Instant Age Concealer. This cosmetic house may not be top of the range but I have found its products not only very good, but great value too. Anyhow, this is my experience of their dark circle treatment eraser.
I found it took quite a few twists before the product appeared on the sponge applicator. But that was only the first time I used it. Ever since it only needs a half turn to work.
Dab it where you need it. You don’t need much product to get very good coverage – a little goes a long way. I use a brush to then blend it in an outward motion. Covers and blends beautifully – my dark circles disappeared and I needed no foundation afterwards. Love the texture and it hasn’t creased or melted once. But it does have staying power – brilliant.
