Wake Up & Glow Lip/Cheek Flush is a clever combination of lipstick, cheek colour and treatment. Available in three rather lovely, super-flattering shades this product aims to give you healthy, glowing skin and plumped lips. Ultra creamy with a light texture, this lipstick has a natural ‘true skin’ finish… giving you that sought after ‘no makeup makeup’.
Two of us tested it in my family. No surprise there really as the others are male! My daughter immediately applied it to both her cheeks and lips… but, being the cautious one, I used it as a lipstick only.
It didn’t flake or cake and was ultra-nourishing as the core is pure 100% natural plant butters. If you suffer from dry lips, then this is definitely a product for you. For my ‘older’ lips, I especially liked the hyaluronic acid and Vitamin E content, which both give the delicate lip area extra moisture and therefore extra protection.
There are three shades to choose from: Peach, Tearose and Roseberry. My 20 year old daughter loved the Peach, which gave her a very ‘natural’ tone, and also looked lovely on her cheeks. I tested the Tearose, which had a touch more pink – although again, it’s very subtle.
We both liked the super-sturdy packaging which makes it easy to be able to throw into one’s handbag without worrying.
Application couldn’t be easier – just tap onto the skin in a circular motion for the most natural blush. TIP: A little goes a long way, so remember – less is more.
For lips, you can either swipe across lips for an ultra-nourishing all-day-stain, or, for a more natural ‘just-been-kissed’ finish, dot into the centre of the lips and pat outwards – no need to blot.
PS. Alternatively, if your budget doesn’t stretch to that discounted price, I also highly recommend Carmex Moisture Plus Ultra Hydrating Lip Balms with SPF15. Available in 3 colours (all very subtle and sheer): Peach, Pink (my favourite for my skin tone) and Berry (lovely in the Winter months). Only £4.49 – click here to buy.
