The peri and menopause are being spoken about, quite rightly, more and more. What used to be a time of embarrassment and shame is in fact part of being a woman and wholly normal. However, the symptoms and other life challenges in midlife are sometimes too much to deal with, and creep up to a point of over-whelm. Women often suffer from lack of self- esteem, they lose their zest and battle on regardless neglecting their own self-care.
There are many wonderful ambassadors to the cause now, increasing the awareness of midlife issues. Libbla Kelly is one and she feels these issues are not to be feared, but to be recognised as part of another chapter in life that we must move through being supported and supporting one another.
Libbla is a personal trainer and Positive Wellbeing mentor and coach having worked with people in business for over 30 years. She is certified in Positive Psychology by Prof.Martin Seligman at UPENN.
Having experienced her own midlife journey Libbla has written a new journal style book. It is divided into three sections MIND, BODY and LIFE.
Each journal page has tips and essential messages to think, behave and organise your midlife in a more positive and manageable way. The topics cover many of those that Midlife women will experience. It is a positive source for wellbeing.
The concept of her journal is that you write down your thoughts, feelings, ideas and plans in it, forming your own personalised go-to place of comfort.
It is important to learn how to know and trust ourselves more, to thrive and to move forward. We have the power, we just need to be reminded and balance those fluctuating hormones!
Libbla’s Wisdom for Women journal is being launched at CarFest in Hampshire at their Spa Fest Inspirational Hub on 25-27 August. Libbla will be speaking on Positivity for Midlife Women.
This is Libbla’s second book in her Wisdom series. The first, Wisdom While You Work (for age 11 up) is still selling well into schools and makes an excellent gift for children and grandchildren.
The journal will be available in early September – pre-order your copy now. Call Libbla on 07778 299149 or email: [email protected]
