Urinary incontinence is a condition that causes people to experience a sudden loss of bladder control. In the UK, an estimated seven million people are affected by urinary incontinence to some degree – yet it’s rarely talked about.
Urinary incontinence can affect anyone, but is most common in mature women, due to factors like childbirth and menopause.
In a bid to normalise discussions around bladder health and improve people’s quality of life, community-led bladder care company, Jude, offers holistic and preventative solutions, and a safe space for people to share their experiences.
Jude’s bladder control supplements, formulated of pumpkin seeds and soy phytoestrogen, are clinically proven to target the root cause of bladder problems. They’ve been found to help women sleep through the night and significantly improve symptoms, such as leaks and urine urgency, in just 12 weeks.
We spoke to Sharon, 57, and Christina, 40, about their struggles with urinary incontinence and the difference that Jude’s bladder control supplements have made to their lives.
Jude is currently offering Rest Less members 22% off. Simply enter code LESS22 at checkout, or click the link below to have your discount automatically applied. This offer is a single-use discount for new Jude customers only, valid until 31st December 2024.
“I was washing my clothes almost daily due to nighttime accidents”
Sharon O’Neill, 57, works as a mental health support worker in schools. In 2001, she began struggling with incontinence after giving birth to her son.
She says, “I was incontinent almost immediately after birth. I noticed that I couldn’t hold my water, so when I got the urge to go to the toilet, it was too late. I was washing my clothes almost daily due to nighttime accidents, and I was spending more and more money on buying pads.”
In 2011, Sharon had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed due to being at high risk for developing breast cancer.
This, paired with further health diagnosis’ of lumbar, sacroiliac, and facet joint arthritis in 2013, followed by left trochanteric bursitis (a common, painful condition that causes pain in the outer hip and thigh) in 2015, only exacerbated her struggles with incontinence.
Sharon explains, “I became stiff and limp, which significantly impacted my ability to reach the toilet quickly. The medication I was prescribed was also drying my mouth and throat out, which made me drink more water and need the toilet more. I was waking up and wetting myself on the way to the toilet, easily three times a night, so I felt exhausted all day too.
“I stopped some of my favourite hobbies like camping and festivals due to being too far away from a loo. Sneezing and coughing were causing me to leak too, so if I caught a cold, I’d automatically become more anxious about leaks and smells.”
“I felt ashamed and alone”
Christina explains the shame she felt around her struggles with urinary incontinence as a 40-year-old professional athlete.
Christina says, “We think of wetting as smething that only happens to children or the elderly. So, as a 40-year-old fit and healthy professional athlete, wetting herself and struggling to get to the loo on time, I felt ashamed and alone.
“And it wasn’t just my sport and fitness that were negatively affected by my bladder situation. My life began to revolve around ensuring that I could get to a loo if I needed it.
“Being woken up by my bladder became my normality. And while incontinence pads gave me an initial band-aid for sports purposes, the interruption to my sleep was getting worse and worse, and I began to fear for future deterioration.”
“After 22 years of racing to get to get to a loo and panicking when they were occupied, it almost feels too good to be true”
After coming across Jude’s bladder control supplements online, both Sharon and Christina decided to give them a go.
Sharon says, “I’m an optimistic person by nature, but realistically, having had issues with incontinence for over 20 years, I wasn’t expecting too much. Any small increase in my ability to hold my urine would’ve been great.
“Taking Jude’s supplements has helped me so much. Even within the first five days of taking it, I slept through the night with no up and down to the loo. Last week, I also noticed that I needed the loo (usually I don’t get the urge to go until it’s too late – in fact, it’s so long since I’ve experienced that feeling that I barely recognised it!).
“The nearby toilet was busy so I walked across the school to the other loos. There wasn’t a rush in me – I got there and didn’t spill a drop! After 22 years of racing to get to a loo and panicking when they were occupied, it almost feels too good to be true. I’m speechless and spill proof!”
“I’m flabbergasted to say that I’ve never seen any other products have such notable effects”
Since taking Jude’s bladder control supplements, Christina’s symptoms have drastically improved too.
She explains, “An advert for Jude’s bladder control supplements popped up on my social media and I thought, what nonsense! It was surely too good to be true. However, after looking into reviews, I was blown away by the radiating positivity that users had to share and decided I had nothing to lose.
“Today, I’m only 10 days into using the product and I’m flabbergasted to say that I’ve never seen any other products have such notable effects as quickly as Jude has. After only three days, I was shocked to sleep straight through the night – something I hadn’t managed to do in years. I already feel so much better rested with less brain fog simply from not having my sleep interrupted.
“I’m truly grateful that I found Jude and can’t wait to take back more of my bladder control in the months to come with the assistance of their products.”
Jude also has a Facebook group, called Jude & Friends, where women struggling with incontinence can connect and support each other.
Christina says, “Jude’s community has helped me realise that I’m not alone and that there are so many women who have been silently struggling in the dark just as I was.”

What’s the science behind Jude’s bladder control supplements?
Jude’s bladder control supplements contain pumpkin seeds and soy phytoestrogen, two ingredients which are clinically proven to target the root cause of bladder problems.
Pumpkin seeds are packed full of nutrients like magnesium, potassium, and zinc, which help to relax bladder muscles and reduce urgency and frequency of urination. And soy phytoestrogen helps to promote strength and flexibility in the pelvic floor by binding to oestrogen receptors and increasing collagen production.
In a clinical trial, 66% of women reported having fewer daily leaks and 70% had fewer nighttime trips to the bathroom after taking Jude’s bladder control supplement for 12 weeks.
Plus, unlike many medications, Jude’s bladder control supplements are gentle on the body, have no side effects, and are safe to take long-term.
What are other customers saying?
Jude’s bladder control supplements have currently helped over 35,000 women reclaim their confidence.
One Jude customer says, “The supplements started to work from the first capsule. Three weeks later, my life was transformed. I’ve spent half my life waking up several times a night, and now I wake up once, or not at all. My symptoms are now just a small corner of my life.”
Emma Skeates, from Menopausal Mayhem Mothers, also shares her positive experience of taking Jude bladder control supplements in the video below. She says, “For about three years into my menopause I was wearing big bulky pads, because every time I laughed or I sneezed, there was leakage. Since taking Jude’s supplements, I don’t have to worry about that anymore. I can now laugh, wherever I want, worry-free!”
