Job Title: Advanced Apprentice Supply Chain

Location: Glasgow

Salary: Starting from £22,463 with annual progression through the scheme duration.

What you will be doing:

Supply Chain roles are set in a challenging, fast paced environment. These are ideally suited to people who enjoy using technical knowledge and people skills to solve real world problems and who are tenacious and resourceful whilst maintaining a cool head under pressure. The ability to see tasks through to completion and ensure all details are complete is essential. As much of the work involves liaising with other team members and people from other departments, the roles suit someone with good interpersonal and relationship management skills.

Specific activities could include:

You could be responsible for a range of electronic products and services throughout their entire lifecycle. One project may have you working with the latest technology available - creating inspired designs to be sure such innovation is used to its full potential, another may have you working on one of our shipyards to ensure existing technology is maintained correctly to guarantee its availability when urgent action is required.

Please be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.

Qualification requirements

5 National 5s at Grade C or above including English and Maths (including Application of Maths), plus 2 Highers, 1 should be English at Grade C or above.
