Job title:Communications Advisor - Community Investment and Social Impact

Location:Barrow, Glascoed, Portsmouth, Washington, Scotstoun, Filton or Frimley- We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: Up to £50,000 dependent on experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Delivering the Maritime and Land Sector Community Investment and Social impact strategy
  • Operate as the Sector lead for engagement with our CI/SI stakeholders, including our strategic charity partners, Regional Growth Funds, Local Enterprise Partnerships etc, to deliver and measure activities
  • Working with Group Communications to deliver all corporate CI/SI activity, leverage centrally provided budgets, and collaborate around sponsorship, employee fundraising and volunteering opportunities
  • Working effectively with stakeholders, strategic partners and the other team members in the Maritime and Land Communications Function, to ensure the delivery of relevant internal and external communications, in support of an annual Communications Plan
  • Managing relevant compliance and audit processes around Community Investment and Company Giving
  • Working closely with Business Development to identify and leverage Social Value opportunities and activities, in support of business winning activity

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Significant experience in a communications and / or project management discipline; notably with skill in activity planning and stakeholder engagement
  • A positive and enthusiastic outlook with excellent personal communications and presentation skills
  • Excellent content creation and copywriting skills, with an eye for detail
  • Budget management experience

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a corporate Community Investment and/or Social Impact role, or with experience of Third Sector or community work
