Job Description
About The Role
- Escorting patients to assigned departments
- Collecting prescriptions to speed up their discharge
- Providing emotional support/pastoral care while they await treatment
- Providing emotional support to close friends and families
- Ensuring patients have food/drink while waiting for long hours and assisting with food distribution at meal times
- Driving patients home when discharged and making sure they are safely settled at home
- Signposting and referring patients to other sources of support in the community
- To know how to improve service quality for the benefit of users, dealing with queries in a diplomatic and confidential manner.
- A good knowledge of services provided by the NHS and Social Care.
- Education to GCSE level (or equivalent by experience).
- To be IT literate.
- Full UK driving licence allowing you to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
