As a key member of our Technical Services Centre team, youll play a key role in everything from the design and planning of electrical works, through to installation, commissioning and reporting. The work is incredibly varied from LV distribution to lighting, and from containment systems to fire alarms and air conditioning. Whats more, youll get to do it at home and overseas, in diplomatic missions for the UK and friendly governments. You can look forward to worldwide travel. Whether youre rewiring a Japanese embassy for solar panels, or installing new ceiling roses in a high commission in Nigeria, youll lead multi-skilled teams. And whether youre helping to deliver a new build, office refurbishment, vital upgrade or essential maintenance, youll do it all to the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction. Youll contribute to research and development, project costings, technical surveys, problem solving and advisory services. Most importantly, youll be helping to keep people safe. Use all your abilities like youve never used them before To join our team, youll need to be able to spend up to 22 weeks a year on overseas installations. Individual projects can last up to eight weeks. An ECS Gold Card holder with Approved grading or higher, youll bring to the role a substantial track record in electrical installation. Working knowledge of BS 7671: 2018 is essential, and you should have NVQ Level 3 in electrical installations, plus City & Guilds 2391 Test and Inspection or equivalent qualifications.
