Army - National Fleet Manager - White Fleet

As NFM you will be empowered and supported to provide advice and guidance to an established team of RFMs and LFMs. You will ensure that each RFM works within the team to ensure compliance with MoD Transport Policy. Through regular weekly, monthly and quarterly programme meetings you will conduct local customer engagements and seminars to actively monitor and record fleet performance. As the NFM you will use the RFMs data analysis and information to brief the hierarchy across Army on all national WF transport matters, optimisation and performance boards will be used to demonstrate efficiencies and savings across the Army enterprise.This role is a key post in a new organisational structure being implemented by Regional Command as part of White Fleet (WF) Optimisation Programme directed by the Deputy Chief of the General Staff (DCGS). This strives to implement policy and cultural changes across the Field Army to deliver significant cost savings over ten years and improve the efficiency of how the army utilises its WF (non-military administrative vehicles).The National Fleet Manager (NFM) is responsible to the Senior Logistic Support Manager for the coordination of civilian vehicle provision though aligned Regional Fleet Managers (RFMs) and Local Fleet Mangers (LFMs). The NFM is a key role in the WF delivery team providing a single point of contact for RFMs and Regional Points of Command (RPoCs). The role enables the timely and consistent dissemination of current policy and contractual advice on The Authoritys WF contract and in accordance with Army Policy. This includes achieving Value for Money (VfM) options, training to RFMs and LFMs, approving cases and quarterly assessments of WF usage. This is an outstanding and exciting multidisciplinary role with influence right across the Army. No two days are the same and the evolution of WF Management ensures that the post will never be boring!
