Head of Finance

Main duties and responsibilitiesResponsible for leading the financial accounting, financial transactions & credit control and finance systems teams (including staff management and training).Responsible for the planning, preparing and delivery of interim and year end audits and accounts.Ensure financial control is in compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax and legislation.Asset ManagementReport alignment with Scottish government funding categoriesAudit and Risk Committee attendance.National Fraud Initiative oversightCash management.Responsible for developing and delivering the financial systems strategy and system replacement/upgrade plan.Assist RoS to develop and renew the long-term financial strategy. Governance boards attendance as required.Project board attendance as required.Delegation for CFO as required.
