Management Accountant

As an enthusiastic and thoughtful problem solver youll have the skills to help ensure compliance with accounting standards and government regulations, and be ready to work on a large number of complex and varied projects. Youll also be involved with efficiency challenges, detailed project deep dive analysis, and the quarterly financial forecasting cycle.Developing and delivering the full suite of monthly MI reports to support business decision making, and reviewing our compliance controls to ensure theyre fully exercised on a monthly basis, youll see that labour costs are accurately reported and recovered across our functions, reviewing and revising charging processes as needs change. But your work wont stop here youll also support the development of Opex and Capex proposals, lead on financial tracking to ensure benefits are realised, and coordinate the development of our corporate business plans.Use your accountancy skills with a business that helps to keep the country secureAs a Management Accountant with experience of operating in a project accounting environment, youll possess customer and supplier relationship management skills, and the ability to analyse, interrogate and evaluate data. Well expect you to be familiar with accounting systems, financial planning, forecasting and reporting, and have a practical knowledge of specialist systems and databases such as ERP, Oracle. Capable of delivering at pace in a collaborative, fast-moving environment, and with superb communication and influencing skills, you should be familiar with the principles and governance of managing public money.
