Specialist Instructional Officer (Coppersmith/Pipeworker)

The post holder is responsible for imparting practical and theoretical marine pipework engineering training to Royal Naval personnel.You will have the opportunity to make a real difference across the Royal Navy by providing appropriately trained personnel to ensure safe maintenance and operation of equipment onboard the ships.The position is based at the Defence School of Marine Engineering, (DSMarE), situated at HMS Sultan in Gosport. DSMarE is responsible for delivering all aspects of Marine Engineering training to Royal Navy personnel; additionally, some training is also delivered to Army, RAF and Civilian personnel, and to members of Foreign and Commonwealth Armed Forces. This post currently attracts an Allowance of 6000 per annum. This is subject to annual review. This post may be in scope for potential outsource under Project Selborne from May 2025.
