The Resources and Waste Service is responsible for managing municipal waste across the county. Our small team is made up of passionate and skilled experts in the field of resource and waste management. We're looking for an individual who can bring their own talents, ideas and perspectives to help us design and build the resource management systems of the future.

The Assets and Infrastructure team combines responsibility for existing landfill aftercare services with management of the division's portfolio of operational waste assets. The Assets and Infrastructure Manager will lead the County's medium to long-term asset management strategy for operational assets within the Resources and Waste portfolio. You will be responsible for ensuring the County's waste infrastructure remains fit for purpose, supports the County's waste strategy and maximises value for money.

You will also be responsible for developing and managing a programme of planned maintenance, and developing effective monitoring regimes to identify unplanned maintenance requirements.

We're looking for an individual who understands the importance of public service and shares our values. They will an enthusiastic and collaborative team player with an authentic leadership style, well able to motivate and support their line reports to reach their full potential. The role has a significant element of technical knowledge and understand and the ideal candidate would have experience in the field of landfill aftercare and/or the management of operational assets and commissioning of site works, however we are also willing to consider applicants with capability of developing these skills through training.
