Business Services Assistant - Scheduler (Adult Social Care and Health) - RELIEF

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Homecare Scheduling Team. This Team supports the provision of Homecare to residents of Derbyshire by planning and overseeing care schedules.

We are looking to recruit new team members to join our established team.

What does a Scheduler do?

Derbyshire's Homecare Service provides care and support to Residents of Derbyshire in their own homes.  The Service will involve providing primarily short term packages of care, in order to enable us to support timely discharge from hospital, avoid hospital admission and enable people to retain and regain their independence.  

Schedulers ensure that this service runs efficiently by drawing up schedules, providing immediate response and support to Care Workers to manage their visits and their time, and working closely with Domiciliary Care Organisers to plan rotas

As part of a *new* function within the team, schedulers will also be managing requests for emergency care worker cover for our DCC care services.

Working arrangements in the Homecare Scheduling Team

The role requires you to be office-based; the team are based at The Quad, Boythorpe Rd in Chesterfield.

You will working on a rota basis. This includes providing support over two shift types: 7am - 2.30pm, 2.30pm - 10pm. This will include weekend and bank holiday working - our service operates 365 days a year. Enhanced rates of pay apply for hours worked after 7pm and on bank holidays.

The job may require unsocial hours working including weekends and Bank Holidays. Payment arrangements will be detailed in any contract offer made.

Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.
