Job Description
We are looking for a committed and flexible person who can work as a key member of the Business Services administration team based in Chesterfield. Working in a busy office, the successful candidate will require appropriate information & technology (IT) skills, which includes using a variety of IT systems.
You will be required to work as part of a team undertaking a wide range of duties from, telephone calls, note taking, supporting social care functions, processing financial information to general administrative tasks.
Communication skills, ability to work to deadlines and an understanding of confidentiality is essential to this post. Candidates should be qualified to vocational/NVQ or equivalent with significant experience.
You will be joining a friendly team of experienced Business Services Assistants. The role is varied, fast-paced and the ability to work as part of a team and meet deadlines is essential.
What will I be doing:
- Duties will include support to local social care teams, which includes note taking at a variety of meetings.
- Liaising within internal and external clients and professionals.
- Utilising the internal client system and general IT support to colleagues.
- Financial tasks may include petty cash, debit card holder and utilising the internal financial systems following set financial guidance.

Skills and Experience we are looking for:
- Excellent IT skills, which includes the use of Microsoft packages.
- An ability to work as part of a team undertaking a wide range of administrative duties.
- Experience of working in a busy office environment.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
- Excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
- An ability to interpret information and analyse data.
- Assist and support with streamlining processes and implementation
- An understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and Data Protection.
- Previous financial experience would be beneficial.
- Enthusiasm and transferable skills
