About Us:
Thomas Fields offers a wide range of individually tailored care to suit various needs including 10 long-term residential care and 10 community support beds. Situated in Buxton, a thriving spa town with a close community. Thomas Fields is proud of its community links, and we share the site with Housing 21.
Community Support Beds and Beyond:
At Thomas Fields, we go beyond traditional care models by offering community support beds that serve as a crucial transition for those ready to leave the hospital but not quite ready to return home independently. As lead on shift you will be managing this dynamic element of care alongside our residential beds, you will be responsible for the safe, daily admission and discharge of individuals, with continuous professional networking with our allied health and social care professionals. As a Deputy Unit Manager, you will relish the unique challenges and opportunities of supporting this diverse care offer.

Qualifications/ Knowledge:
The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in the management of operational activities, supervising staff, and managing resources including budgets. Supervisory and administrative skills are essential. Knowledge of residential care issues and relevant legislation is required together with experience of working with older people in residential care. Must hold NVQ Level III Health & Social Care (Adults).

The job may require unsocial hours working including weekends and Bank Holidays. Payment arrangements will be detailed in any contract offer made.
Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.
