Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School is a successful, oversubscribed school with 1,886 students on roll including 361 in the Sixth Form. It is situated close to the centres of Sheffield and Chesterfield on the edge of the Peak District National Park.
The Governors are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible to work with groups of students at both KS3 and KS4 and also with students who have specific special educational needs. We are looking for outstanding individuals who have the personal skills and drive to help students overcome their barriers to learning whether these are specific learning difficulties, emotional and social difficulties or medical disabilities. The successful candidates would be an integral part of a strong department. Previous experience of being a Teaching Assistant is not essential, although experience of supporting young people is an advantage.
