Occupational Therapist North West and Dales (High Peak based)
18.5 hours permanent
Are you an Occupational Therapist who enjoys working in the community, building relationships to support adults to maximise their independence?

If so, Derbyshire County Council Adult Social Care and Health wants to hear from you. We are seeking to recruit a person centred, professionally qualified and HCPC registered Occupational Therapist for a permanent part-time contract based in the High Peak covering the north west of the County. We have an experienced management team who are committed to good support, advice, supervision, and a nurturing team ethos.
You will be supported in your role by a wider network of Occupational Therapists including a dedicated Occupational Therapy service manager and dedicated Occupational Therapy senior practitioners.
You will have opportunities to work across a variety of areas including safeguarding, complex health needs, moving and handling, learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge, duty team responses, assistive technology, hospital liaison, housing and major adaptations among others.
As part of our multi-disciplinary Adult Care Team, you will be required to take a strength-based approach to deliver a proportionate, personalised, safe and sustainable response for local adults, their carers, and families.
A positive approach to risk taking, personal resilience and the ability to contribute to inter agency and multi-disciplinary approaches both across the council and in other statutory bodies are key to this role.
Occupational Therapists will be recruited at Grade 9 or 11 depending on knowledge, skills and experience demonstrated in the recruitment process.
