An exciting opportunity has arisen in our legal department for an enthusiastic and committed individual to work as an adult care legal assistant within our busy yet friendly team of lawyers and legal assistants.

On a day-to-day basis you will be providing advice and assistance to the Adult Care department on a variety of matters including safeguarding, mental capacity, community care and inquests. You will be drafting and managing a caseload of Court of Protection cases using the streamlined ('Re X') procedure. You will also be providing support to the wider team to manage court cases as required.

Legal Services are contractually based in Matlock, Derbyshire, but we are currently working on a hybrid basis. As flexible workers, you will be able to work from home. It is a requirement that you will be able to work in the office once per week, attend face to face court hearings and meetings where necessary.
