The Role

As our Senior Business Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our school's operations, ensuring smooth running of our administrative functions. This is a Grade 7 position that offers both challenge and reward. This position is being advertised for 32.5hr per week over a 42 week contract based in school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate a range of business support activities with minimal supervision
  • Provide wide-ranging administrative, secretarial, and reception support
  • Handle specialized data, finance, and systems support
  • Engage in budget monitoring and financial processing
  • Develop effective relationships with service users, external contacts, and key stakeholders

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with staff, students, parents, and external partners
  • Proficiency in ICT, including school management information systems
  • Numeracy skills for handling financial tasks
  • Initiative to resolve problems independently

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Vocational qualification/training at NVQ3 level or equivalent
  • Considerable relevant experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of school financial management, reporting, and recording systems
  • Understanding of relevant regulations (Finance, Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Data protection)
