Job Title: Sustainable Transport Officer - Low Emission Vehicle Infrastructure

Contract: Fixed Term (3 years)

Derbyshire County Council is looking for a dynamic and committed Sustainable Transport Officer to contribute to the development and implementation of our Low Emission Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) Strategy. This role is a fantastic opportunity to help shape sustainable transport initiatives, supporting our goals to deliver clean and efficient electric vehicle infrastructure across the region.

Key aspects of this role also include:

• Assist with the roll-out of the Council's LEVI Strategy, ensuring successful delivery of electric vehicle infrastructure projects, from concept through to installation.
• Manage and collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including district councils, central government departments (such as OLEV), commercial partners, and Charge Point Operators (CPOs).
• Support the Senior LEVI Officer in overseeing projects, ensuring they meet agreed timelines, budgets, and key objectives. This includes liaising with private sector landowners, managing procurement processes, and monitoring installation.
• Work with regional partners, such as the East Midlands Combined Authority and Midlands Connect, to develop innovative transport solutions.

What skills/experience will you need?

• Experience in project management and stakeholder coordination, preferably in transport and infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders, including government bodies, businesses, and the public.
• A professional or technical qualification in a relevant field or comparable work experience.
