Job Description

Pilsley CE Primary School is looking to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic and committed Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join our well-established and supportive team, working alongside motivated class teachers and our team of skilled Teaching and Learning Assistants to support an infant child who has additional needs.

The successful candidate will have knowledge, understanding and commitment to work closely with the class teacher, provide support for the child whilst promoting independence, encouraging inclusion and providing suitable access to the curriculum and learning resources.

We are looking for someone with a caring nature and kind personality who will have a range of strategies to ensure the child's personal, social and emotional and learning needs are met. Previous experience of working with children with ASD is preferred. There is potential scope to make this position permanent.

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
