About Us:
Thomas Fields CCC is a 20-bed residential unit, offering both long-term and short-term community support beds. As a purpose-built care home, specialising in dementia care, we place each resident's wellbeing at the core of our mission. Located just a stone's throw away from Buxton Town Centre, our centre is your chance to make a real impact in the lives of those in our care.
Dementia Care:
Thomas Fields CCC recognises and provides stimulation to the evolving needs of individuals with different stages of dementia to remain happy, safe, engaged and as independent as possible. As a Unit Manager you will have a wide range of experience and be focussed on excellent care delivery which promotes choice, respect and dignity.
Community Support Beds and Beyond:
At Thomas Fields CCC, we go beyond traditional care models by offering community support beds that serve as a crucial transition for those ready to leave the hospital but not quite ready to return home independently. Leading and managing this dynamic element of care, you will be responsible for the safe, daily admission and discharge of individuals, with continuous professional networking with our allied health and social care professionals. As a Registered Unit Manager, you will relish the unique challenges and opportunities of overseeing this diverse care offer, working collaboratively with the privately managed Extra Care Unit that completes the community care centre.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates will hold a Health & Social Care qualification, demonstrate management expertise in a residential home, have a proven track record in dementia care, and possess knowledge of relevant legislation and policy.

The job may require unsocial hours working including weekends and Bank Holidays. Payment arrangements will be detailed in any contract offer made.
Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.
