Caretaker Grade 2 £22,737 - £23,114 pro rata 20 hours per week, whole time Temporary - required as soon as possible on a 1 year contract We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic caretaker who is able to support our school in providing an excellent education for our children, within a nurturing and welcoming environment. The successful candidate will be a friendly, caring and motivated person who can join our hardworking team to ensure the maintenance, safety and security of our school building for our pupils, staff and visitors. Responsibilities will include: Premises Management: Oversee the day-to-day running of the school premises, ensuring cleanliness, safety and functionality. Security: Open and close the school site, conduct regular site checks and maintain building security. Responsibility of being a designated key holder for the site. Maintenance: Performing general maintenance tasks including repairs, upkeep of the main building and site and undertake regular fire and safety checks. Health and Safety: Proactively assess maintenance issues, report building defects and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Team Leadership: Lead a small team of cleaning staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment. The Working pattern of daily hours will be negotiated between the Head Teacher and the successful candidate. The role is for 20 hours per week. The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. Visits to the school are encouraged but not essential.
