As a Commercial Services (Sales) officer you will develop skills and knowledge to grow and maintain the council's Service Level Agreements (SLA's) which we provide to a number of other Public Sector Organisations. You will support a full range of departments within the council and their customers, through finance, customer engagement, promotion, and sales with day-to-day duties as part of a small, experienced team; including working with a range of Council Officers to support their SLA work via financial, digital, and ICT related tasks. You will be trained on all systems, processes, and procedures which apply to the role. This will be via on the job, shadowing, and formal in person and virtual training sessions to gain knowledge and understanding of the role and scope of the service. You will support development and delivery of a council SLA sales strategy. You will work collaboratively to support the successful and professional promotion of the Councils SLA business to existing and potential customers. This generic and flexible role will cover a wide range of duties and responsibilities. It is required to operate flexibly and interchangeably across all areas of procurement and sales. WHAT WILL I NEED? You will need 3 A Levels Grade A-C or a relevant Foundation Degree or equivalent. It would be desirable for you to have a Business/Sales/ICT or Marketing qualification. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
