Enhanced Teaching Assistant Grade 5 £24,294 - £26,421 pro rata Full time, term time only + 2 weeks Temporary (Maternity cover) - Required as soon as possible Lumley Junior School (part of Lumley Primary Federation) is a vibrant, friendly and caring school with high academic and pastoral standards. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and skilled individual to take on the role of teaching assistant to provide classroom support and support to children with SEN. The post is a Maternity Cover, supporting in Year 5 The person appointed must: - demonstrate excellent communication skills - have a caring and empathetic nature - be able to establish effective relationships with pupils and their families - have high expectations and a strong commitment to raising standards of children with SEND - have experience and/or a keen interest in supporting SEND pupils - have experience of supporting in KS2 Full details of the post are included in the job description. Calculation of term time only plus two weeks' pay Term time only plus two additional weeks' pay is calculated on the basis of the following: • Number of 'teaching' weeks - 38 weeks; plus • Public (bank) holidays - 1.6 weeks (8 days); plus • Two additional weeks, inclusive of CPD - 2 weeks; plus • Individual leave entitlement - 5.4 weeks (27 days) or 6.4 weeks (32 days) Individual leave entitlement is calculated on the length of continuous service. Employees with less than 5 years' service will receive 27 days annual leave. Employees with more than 5 years' service will receive 32 days annual leave.
