We are looking for the following friendly part time Library Assistants to help us deliver our libraries and public information services: Sedgefield at 20.50 hpw Woodhouse Close, Bishop Auckland at 20.50 hpw Coundon at 13.50 hpw Trimdon at 12.75 hpw Shildon at 17.50 hpw Shildon at 14.50 hpw All posts have a fixed working pattern and details are available upon request. These are exciting opportunities to share your interests and get involved in a variety of tasks from assisting customers with their enquiries to promoting library events and activities. WHAT IS INVOLVED? With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will assist customers with the issue and return of books and other materials to the library and provide assistance in the use of library equipment and materials. With the use of IT applications, you will maintain accurate records and databases, and assist with banking tasks. As a customer facing role, your ability to converse at ease with members of the public will be key. You will be passionate about delivering high standards of customer care. NVQ Level 2 in a related subject. Experience of working with customers from a wide range of backgrounds in a customer facing environment, of using IT applications and of dealing with customer enquiries is also essential.
