Job Description
As a local authority we are ambitious for our children and are committed to ensuring that every child and family receives outstanding service and support through consistent and high quality social work and innovative service delivery.
We are looking to recruit a Service Manager with responsibility for services for children in need, children subject to a child protection plan and those within the Family Justice System in the East of the county.
You will lead and manage 5 Families First statutory social work teams, our dedicated Pre-birth Team and Future Hope (formally PAUSE). The role also includes responsibility for service wide cross cutting themes which includes assisting with the ongoing strategic development of practice around Domestic Abuse and Family Justice.

You will be a highly motivated social care practice leader who will drive forward our vision.
We are currently embedding the Signs of Safety social work practice model across the whole service and are committed to practice which is strengths based and focused on developing high quality relationships with children and families to receive the very best outcomes.

WHAT WILL I NEED?
You will need a Recognised Social Work qualification, Management qualification to level 5 or equivalent (desirable) and Current Social Work England Registration.
