About The Role

Salary: £11.50 per hourHours: Part-time - 10 - 20 hours per week Shifts: Various hours, primarily Monday - Friday
Contract: Permanent
Location: Travel required across Chelmsford and Essex to support customers. Central office in Chelmsford.

About You

What you'll be doing as a Sensory Support Worker:

  • Supporting people who have sight, hearing, or dual sensory impairments out in the community to maintain their independence.
  • Assisting with activities such as shopping, finance, or correspondence, accessing sports and leisure facilities or attending health appointments.

To be considered as a Sensory Support Worker, you need:

  • A full driving licence.
  • Access to a car to travel and transport customers.
  • To be a confident driver.
  • To be able to work on your own initiative out in the community as well as be able to work as part of an expanding team.
  • Enjoy working with people and are keen to enable independence.

Travel required across Essex and potentially London to support with health appointments.

British Sign Language (BSL) skills and/or qualifications would be advantageous to your application. BSL and non-BSL roles available.
