School Cleaner

12.5 hrs per week, (including non-pupil days) for 43 weeks a year - this includes deep cleans during the school holidays.

Start time: 3.30pm

Finish time: 6.00pm (2 and a half hours each evening)

Scale 1 (Point 2)

Salary: £11.59 per hour

Start date - Available immediately

A bit about us:

Trinity Road is a popular, growing and rapidly improving, maintained Victorian primary school, from reception to year 6, located in central Chelmsford, Essex. We are located short walk from the train station, with many accessible transport links to the A12, A130 and A127, bus routes across Essex and cycle routes across the city.

Our School is a tidy, clean and well looked after. We are expanding to a two-form entry primary school, with new facilities. You would be joining a team of 4 cleaners and would be line managed by the site manager.

Our Goal:

For a dedicated, skilled and thorough cleaner to join our current cleaning team of 4 staff as part of the school growth and expansion to continue to ensure the school is safe, clean, inviting and usable for the children, staff and families at Trinity Road Primary School.

The Skills Focus:

The right candidate would;

· Be a thorough worker with an eye for detail

· Know how to use cleaning tools, products, machinery and equipment to support the cleaning of all areas of the school

· Be on time and able to work to deadlines to clean areas within the time given

· Be trustworthy, professional and maintain confidentiality

· Be able to take direction and instruction as well as working off your own initiative

· Be able to communicate with a range of staff, children, colleagues and families while representing the school.

· Be flexible, calm, friendly, approachable and have a good professional manner

· Establish effective relationships and partnerships with all members of the school community

· Ensures the school is able to meet the Health & Safety of the site and the school is clean and orderly for all children to learn and all school users.
