On a day to day basis you will be dealing with all aspects of operational contacts both with internal and external stakeholders for the business.
This means on a typical day you could be responding to e-mails and calls, supporting inbound deliveries, controlling the releases of new publications in line with our clients requirements, supporting operational teams with internal and external communications, responding to client queries, supporting operational procurement for products such as consumables for the business.
- Proactively liaising with both suppliers and publishers to maintain a first class working relationship.
- Preparing and processing orders for purchasing requirements
- Liaising effectively with all other departments to achieve swift problem solving and maintaining excellent communication internally and externally whilst also ensuring special requirements are met on time
As part of the Operational Planning administration team, you will be working to ensure all targets are met, demonstrating growth mindset by working with your team & first line manager to promote change that will improve client & supplier experience and ensure continued high standards of quality and productivity are maintained.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to become an essential part of the operations team and gain vast experience regarding supply chain, distribution and elements of the publishing industry. Working with a small close-knit team, in a fabulous working environment.
This will be office-based role within the operational area of the main distribution centre (in Didcot, Oxfordshire). We have 1 vacancy working 2pm to 10pm (35 hours per week) with a one-hour lunch break working Monday to Friday. Flexibility with the working pattern is also ideal to help cover holidays or sickness absence.

It is highly likely that you will already have proven experience of working in the following roles and or industries: Supply chain operations, transport, distribution facilities, distribution services, Hospitality, Retail, Customer Service Advisor or Assistant, Customer Experience, or procurement.
