Job Description

Harbour Hotels are recruiting for a Management Accountant to join the team at Harbour House in Purewell, Christchurch.

This is a full time role, offering up to £42,000 per annum depending on experience.

The Role...

As Management Accountant you will be the financial business partner to the hotel management; supporting in all matters relating to hotel revenue and costs, debtors and creditors and all other financial queries.

Other responsibilities include general ledger reconciliation and accuracy, and assisting with the preparation of key management information, including the management accounts.

Main Responsibilities:

- SupportHotel Management in regular forecasting.

- Goodunderstanding of the hotel financials including revenue and cost analysis.

- Support the Financial Controller to help to create and analyseannual budgets for the hotels.

- Play a key role in understanding and controlling costs.

- Prepare and analysethe monthly hotel accounts and management accounts on deadline

- Reconcilingkey control accounts on sage across the group and resolvingany discrepancies or anomalies

- Reconcile intercompany balances and post necessary journals

- CompletingVAT and insurance returns

- Act as the firstpoint of contact for any reporting and accounting queries.

- Assisting with any softwareproblems as the group super user acrossthe key software systems

- Tocarry out ad-hoc project work

The ideal candidate will :

have strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel
be hands on, self-motivated and a proactive nature
have excellent attention to detail
be detailed orientated and analytical with strong communication skills
have strong problem solving abilities

Knowledge of the hospitality industry and previous exposure to multi-site environment is preferable by not essential.
