Hybrid Working, 3 days in the office - Workbase Welwyn Garden City

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To lead on delivering a proactive Recruitment service across the business, covering the full range of recruitment activities.

To develop, manage and lead the Recruitment Team in the delivery of the full end to end recruitment and onboarding process, working with managers to provide an efficient service.

To continuously improve HCL's recruitment process and methods to ensure they reflect the latest tools in the market, using data to inform recommended changes.

Delivering the recruitment element of the HCL Workforce Plan.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • To manage all recruitment and on-boarding activities effectively, whilst supporting managers with overall resourcing requirements, including posting recruitment advertisement, shortlisting and attending interviews and jobs fairs. Working with other internal functions to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to colleague resulting in an efficient and highly automated onboarding process. Be the internal subject matter expert for recruitment and coach and train managers in recruitment best practice.

  • Manage the Recruitment Team to ensure governance and compliance of statutory requirements linked with recruitment and on-boarding. Continually stay abreast of legislative changes that may impact the business.

  • Monitor our external recruitment trends including D&I data, time/Cost to hire, hire source and many other key metrics to ensure the Recruitment Team offering is agile to respond to trends/needs of the business. Ensuring continuous improvement of the recruitment processes and standards inclusive of regular reporting to aid data driven decisions. Explore the market best practices and new attraction tools to aid the attraction and recruitment of a diverse and highly skilled talent pool.

  • Work with the Marketing Team to deliver the advertising strategy to ensure that HCL is promoted as an employer of choice. Champion social media usage and continuously develop the HCL Employer Brand.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Previous experience of managing the full end to end recruitment process in a in-house recruitment model
  • Previous experience of and responsibility for managing numerous vacancies simultaneously; direct sourcing and interviewing at a variety of levels
  • Previous experience of working across a wide variety of functions and establishing quality stakeholder relationships
  • A creative and curious nature always keen to adopt new ways of working, technology, and attraction methods
  • Understanding of employment and equalities legislation and HR best practice in a safe staffing environment and how it relates to recruitment and on-boarding
  • Excellent standard of written and oral communication skills, with thorough and methodical attention to detail
  • The ability to take ownership, work at pace and get things done
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, approachable manner to give credibility and impact
  • Experience of successfully managing a small team
  • Someone who is data savvy with the ability to collate, analyse and present data
  • Ability to use MS Office software packages competently
  • Commitment to continual personal development
  • Previous experience of using iTrent is desirable, but not essential
