Horizon Care and Education have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher to join our fantastic Alternative Learning Team in the Warwickshire region!

Horizon Education Alternative Learning (HEAL) aims to support and engage young people who struggle to maintain attendance and learning in a school environment. We deliver short term, personalised learning programmes nationally - a combination of direct home tutoring and online learning for pupils from ages 5 -19.

At Horizon Care and Education, our Teachers are supported by our Director of Curriculum, Headteachers, SENCos, Operational Directors and the Managing Director of Education Services as well as our extensive therapeutic team.

Minimum requirements:

  • QTS or QTLS Qualifications
  • Have proven teaching and learning experience.
  • Have up to date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience.

The ideal candidate should:

  • Have the energy, passion, and drive to create exciting and engaging lessons for our pupils
  • Have initiative, vision, excellent planning, and organisational skills.
  • Ideally have experience and a passion for working with students with SEN/SEMH in a 1-1 or small group setting

What you'll be doing:

  • Assisting in educational and social development of students.
  • Working with children with SEN and/or children who have struggled in a school environment.
  • Deliver 1:1 or small group lessons in a variety of non school settings
  • Supporting children with learning and education based on their individual needs.
  • You will need to drive and have access to a vehicle for work as our students are taught either at their own home or in a community-based setting
