Salary: £24,708 - £25,983 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) (pay award pending)

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

We have ambitious plans for the future and we are looking for a contract support officer (CSO) to join the corporate solutions team.

About the Role

As a contract support officer at ESPO, the successful candidate will be working in a busy and progressive category team liaising with suppliers in gathering financial information regarding turnover and developing and using other management information to confirm rebate / income streams relevant to the team's budget. You will manage and collate management information for review meetings with customers and suppliers for the customer relationship manager and for ESPOs senior leadership team.

Other duties include manipulating management information and generating graphs or charts, supporting the team and the customer relationship manager with high level research into markets, monitoring performance of suppliers against agreed service levels or targets, organising supplier and customer meetings in accordance with the management program, and undertaking any other relevant duties as required.

About You

To apply for this post, you must have:

  • GCSEs A-C in English and Maths or equivalent
  • Experience of working as part of a team, in a customer facing / supplier facing role and of customer/client relations and engagement with stakeholders
  • Market analysis/data analysis/interpretation or manipulation of financial data/data presentation
  • Ability to organise and prioritise a variable workload and establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, colleagues, suppliers and other contacts.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including confident telephone manner.
  • Excellent IT skills, specifically MS office, word, excel, PowerPoint (including but not limited to use of formulae, generation of graphs / charts etc)
  • Awareness of structures and relationships within local government
