Job Description

This role is home-based but will require significant travel and regular overnight stays.

You will hold a Nursing Qualification and have an active PIN. You will also be required to maintain your nursing registration throughout your time in the role.

This exciting new role for Leonard Cheshire and will help us deliver high-quality, person-centred care to our customers. You will be critical in ensuring effective clinical governance and clinical practice in our services. The role will report in to our Head of Clinical Care.

You will support the Head of Clinical Care in developing, maintaining and improving our clinical governance and ensuring nursing and clinical practice are based on the latest guidance and best practice.

You will oversee clinical incidents, investigations, and monitor our quality returns.

You will also support the Head of Clinical Care with our policy and strategy development.

This permanent role provides an exciting opportunity to continue to shape clinical governance and practice in a dynamic, UK-wide social care provider. The role is home-based but will require significant travel and regular overnight stays.

About You

You will have a genuine commitment to the social model of disability and experience of working with people with disabilities. You will also have management experience in the social care sector.

You will have in-depth knowledge of current legislation, policy, and practice. This will include knowledge and experience of care regulators, regulations, and standards.

You will need to work flexible hours, travel and stay away from home.

You are an effective communicator. You have excellent written skills, including preparing formal reports. You are self-motivated, with the ability to set and meet deadlines.
