- WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
About this Opportunity
This role offers a superb opportunity to become part of our General Insurance Customer Pricing team, working in a team that sets home insurance premiums across multiple brands and distribution channels.
There is no typical day in the life of a Pricing Analyst making it both an exciting and rewarding role. As pricing is a key cornerstone within the business there's opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of business wide initiatives to provide analytical expertise and help maintain our position as a leading General Insurance home provider.
You'll be :
- Supporting key trading activity within the Customer Pricing team, analysing the market and implementing price changes
- Helping to drive innovation and improvements within pricing, utilising new data and enhanced modelling techniques
- Building up expert knowledge to maintain and develop a suite of pricing models
- Providing key reports and insight to help steer pricing strategy
- Producing and validating of large complex datasets
- Supporting ad hoc requests for pricing analysis and provide answers to a range of technical queries
- Ensuring that modelling adheres to model development and peer review standards

What you'll need
As the role focuses on analysis of performance and improving our specialist suite of pricing models, you should be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills and be comfortable handling large amounts of data.
Ideally, you'll have an inquisitive mind and strong numeracy skills (to degree standard or equivalent experience), with a desire to learn statistical techniques and analytical statistical software.
And to feel comfortable operating in a highly numerate environment and communicating this output to a range of audiences.
