JOB TITLE: Behavioural Risk Manager
SALARY: £70,929 - £78,810
LOCATION(S): Edinburgh & Bristol
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our hub locations.
About this opportunity
At LBG, we define behavioural risk as the habitual patterns of behaviour that may lead to future issues or poor outcomes for the group. Our reviews aim to identify what is driving these behavioural patterns and, in doing so, enhance the effectiveness of preventative measures such as controls and policies.
As a Behavioural Risk Audit Manager, you'll lead and support delivery of high-quality behavioural risk reviews with relative autonomy, harnessing a deep understanding of business strategy/priorities, behavioural drivers and risks. You'll also contribute to innovating the methods we use to enhance the insight and value we can bring.
You'll support the ongoing development and improvement of the wider function through a strategic and integrated behavioural risk focus, and effective cross-function collaboration.
Day to day activities:
Manage the delivery of high quality, impactful and timely applied social/behavioural research to identify and mitigate risk, considering various internal and external perspectives. This may include:
Choosing appropriate research methods for data collection and analysis.
Providing advice and guidance on conducting ethical research.
Managing and conducting analysis of qualitative and quantitative data.
Reporting, presenting, and disseminating clear, concise, and actionable insights.
Providing advice and coaching to ensure delivery of high-quality research materials.
Identifying key lessons and suggestions to support continuous improvement.
Prioritising tasks across the delivery team effectively to ensure timely and valuable delivery.
Manage the development and validation of behavioural management actions using evidence-based practice and knowledge of effective behavioural interventions.
Champion colleague growth and development through coaching, guidance and effective delegation to achieve collective goals.
Support senior colleagues build meaningful stakeholder relationships whilst making your own connections.
Connect behavioural risk insights with Group and Business Unit strategy.
Proactively suggest & deliver improvements in current processes by being bold.
Actively role model the Group's values and behaviours.
Put the team first by coaching with purpose, being present with the team and openly communicating expectations.
Freely share insight and timely, direct, effective feedback that contributes to the success of the delivery plan and leaves a positive, sustainable impact on the function.

You'll need the ability to:
Manage the design and execution of high quality applied social/behavioural mixed-methods research.
Design and construct psychometrically valid research instruments (e.g. surveys).
Conduct literature reviews, interviews, focus groups, observations and surveys with methodological rigour and adherence to ethical protocols.
Design and evaluate relevant, evidence-based, practical solutions for behavioural interventions.
Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate complex concepts and insights in simple and meaningful terms.
Manage end-to-end delivery of projects, helping colleagues to prioritise with a focus on accuracy, attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
Coach and develop colleagues as individuals using proven frameworks.
And advanced knowledge of:
Concepts, theories and methodologies in a relevant social science e.g. behavioural science, organisational psychology.
Any experience of these would be really useful:
Development, implementation and evaluation of behavioural change interventions within an organisational setting.
Supporting control testing and identifying areas of concern, articulating the potential challenge.
