About this opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and skilled individual to become the Head of Credit for the Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets (LBCM) business. LBCM is the non-ring fenced bank of Lloyds Banking Group, and an important part of the Corporate and Institutional Banking business. We're a standalone legal entity and have our own Board and Executive Functions: Chief Operating Office, Finance, People, Legal and Risk; as well as client facing business areas: Financial Markets, Capital Markets, North America, and the Crown Dependencies. We use a Shared Service model, where the ring-fenced bank (RFB) provides LBCM with key services which enable it to operate.
The LBCM Head of Credit is responsible for the maintenance of the credit risk strategy for the LBCM business - conducting oversight and assurance to ensure the effectiveness of LBCM's Credit Risk controls. They apply an extensive understanding of risk management within the second line of defence and will be responsible for the receipt of services that have been delegated to the RFB for Credit Risk of the UK and Crown Dependencies Commercial Risk business. This includes activities such as credit sanctioning, Credit Authority Delegation oversight, credit analysis and reviews, management information and risk appetite recommendations. The individual in this position will have sanctioning rights for LBCM and will therefore become a Material Risk Taker.
The role is ultimately accountable to the LBCM Chief Risk Officer and will support them in discharging their accountabilities for Credit Risk.
