LOCATION(S): Manchester or London

SALARY: From £59,850 for Manchester or from £70,929 for London based colleagues

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and shape the future of banking.

We are looking for a skilled Technical Integrator for our Core Banking Platform with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) skills and experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing effective coordination and integration of delivery of complex changes within the Core Banking Platform

You should strive to build relationships across role communities, Platforms and business areas to maximise opportunities for continuous improvement through shared learnings

What you'll be doing

  • Uses technical expertise to develop the sequence for technical integration related tasks in collaboration with the Product Owners and Engineering Leads and aligned to the Labs Outcomes.
  • Catalogues and manages dependencies between the Core Banking Labs and other external teams.
  • Coordinates the integration process and / or implementation events across shared infrastructure; leads on the Service Introduction (SI) process, coordinating parties to get the change over the line.
  • Works with stakeholders outside of the lab to ensure interlock to enable the Platform to deliver at pace, including how to consume infrastructure components provided by other platforms or (within Enabling Platforms) how to make the products delivered by the Labs consumable in a self-served manner.
  • Identifying blockers to delivery and where possible mitigating / resolving, calling out to product owner(s) / platform leadership where required
  • Acts as interface between the supplier (3rd Party) and key business stakeholders supporting the management of delivery of underperformance

What you'll need

  • Strong Collaborator skills - Using personal impact and positioning to build and sustain long-term relationships. Resolving conflict, building consensus and influencing good outcomes.
  • Planning, Tracking, Reporting & Governance - Communicate regular status updates to key stakeholders while resolving high priority issues affecting delivery. Using experience to address critical risks/issues/dependencies arising out of Status Reporting and agile meetings, taking responsibility for critical issues while ensuring resolution within agreed timescales.
  • Problem Solving skills - Coordinating across multiple teams to develop medium-term and/or long-term work schedules that help the organisation achieve its priorities and fulfil its business plans.
  • And you'll influence positively - demonstrating the right values and behaviours and encouraging this in team members.

Experience of the following will also be useful to this role:

  • Experience delivering complex change in Core Banking Systems
  • Knowledge and/or experience of Private Banking and Retail banking products, e.g. Personal Current Accounts (PCA)
  • Introduction of new enterprise services to the Group
